Creative Community

A creative community of makers and artists.

Creating community by making, learning, upcycling, and connecting with others.

What do you enjoy making?

From crochet to woodworking, hobbies enrich our lives. Work with others on the things that bring you joy in a welcoming environment. Shared provides the Skills, Supplies, and Spaces to foster community while creating.

  • Connect with those experienced in a craft or skill you want to learn more about.

Workshops: Virtual, in person, and our brand new crafting retreats!

Tutorials: Our social media posts cover all sorts of skills, tips, and share excellent tutorials from a wide range of makers and artists. We also have a growing library of instructions and resources for members.

Guides: Support from experienced makers, from tips to problem solving, available in all our workshops, TikTok live sessions, or even 1:1 coaching.

  • Reuse is an integral part of our work. Pooled resources allow for greater access, reduce waste, and prompt creative exploration with what’s at hand instead of purchasing new. All of our workshops use at least some scrap and donated materials!

Equipment: The core essentials for many hobbies. We accept second hand donations and put them to use in our workshops, and eventually will have these available in a coworking space in Germantown, MD. Sewing machines, power tools, easels, and more.

Tools: From our bins of crochet hooks and jars of paint brushes to rulers and cutting mats, we provide what you need to create your unique, brilliant work. With our affiliates, we also seek out, test, and connect you with some of our favorite brands and items, often with discounts!

Materials: Bring your own or use salvage, scrap, and donated goods.
