Shared is a nonprofit, inclusive community fostering connection through hobby. We provide environments that are welcoming and engaging, helping people come together in a way that is so needed right now. As an LGBT female founded organization we are rooted in allyship and treasure diversity. Read more about our core values below.

How and why Shared came to be…

“For years I’ve wanted to create an environment where I could work on hobbies with my friends. To bring us together with joy and community.

Over the course of 2025 I felt frustrated that I couldn’t take action protesting war and authoritarianism on the streets of Washington, DC, but decided what I could do was fight fascism with joy. I rolled up my sleeves and figured out how to make that years-long dream a reality, and took a leap of faith in September 2025 to launch Shared.”
