Virtual Tote Bag Workshop (Sat June 6, 1-2 pm EST)

$40.00

In our Virtual Tote Bag Workshop we will sew a tote bag using repurposed fabric and notions. This project boosts sustainability and demonstrates upcycling in a creative, cheerful way.

Shared will mail you a kit the week of the workshop with pre-cut fabric, carrying straps, and instructions to assemble your bag. You are welcome to add your own elements of course, but the essentials will be provided. You will also receive a Google Meet invite for the virtual workshop.

During the workshop, you will make your tote bag live with other attendees, guided by a Shared member. You will need a sewing machine, iron, and sewing notions (scissors, needles, thread, clips, pins). It’s a wonderful chance to connect with other makers, ask questions, share ideas, and feel boosted as you craft. While you can make your kit on your own, we encourage everyone to take the opportunity to engage live with other participants and our guide.

Shared uses donated and repurposed materials wherever possible. Individual patterns and colors may vary slightly from those shown but will still produce the desired final product.
